TROBO meets Kidpreneurs at Inaugural Orlando Children’s Business Fair

TROBO helped to judge a new business competition at Orlando Children’s Business Fair at the Orange County Public Libary(@OCLSlibrary).  We met with 20+ child entrepreneurs, aged 6 to early teenage.  We were delighted at the level of savvy these young entrepreneurs demonstrated.  We were told the library provides a summer training course on the basics of business, which includes introductions to microsoft office (powerpoint, excel,...), making a business card, properly pricing your products, selling in a booth, etc....

The first hour was a trade show experience, where they could sell their products and services.  The second hour was judging, on three categories (best presentation, most creative business idea, and most likely to succeed).   This was the first foray for many of these bright, amazing children.

We've posted our photos here:

And the library will post their photos here:

We were told for parents who want to get involved next year, watch the library's calendar.
